Nicholas Cobb is a lucky high schooler.There’s always been food on his table and a roof over his head. But at age four, he learned not everyone is as fortunate. When he spotted a homeless family living under a bridge. “It just didn’t make any sense to me,” said Nick.

“He became insistent about wanting to do something for them, right then, ” And, his mom, Laura, says he wouldn’t take no for an answer.

It started small with toiletries for the homeless, cleaning supplies for their shelters.

Then two years ago, at age 12, he set up Comfort and Joy, a small non-profit with a big goal. Buying winter coats for the people in need. With the help of his Scout troop, he raised 10-thousand dollars and purchased hundreds of coats.
