Disaster can strike at any time and your ability to survive it can depend on how prepared you are.
That’s why the American Red Cross is putting up billboards in various parts of the country reminding people to have a plan and get a kit. You can see one just off of Interstate 77 as you head into downtown Cleveland.
The Red Cross is selling disaster preparedness kits. They include equipment like a hand-crank radio, batteries, emergency water, food, and a whistle.
You can buy one of those kits for either $50 or $70 on the website for the Red Cross , or by calling 800-589-8129.
