If you missed the BET AWARDS 11 on this past Sunday, you missed the tribute to Malaco Records honoring the company’s 45 year history during the Gospel All-star Revival which featured performances by Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary & Deitrick Haddon singing “Thank You Lord” by the Late Bishop Walter Hawkins from his classic Malaco release, “Love Alive IV.”

The Malaco Music Group houses the largest and oldest Gospel catalogs in the world comprising all the Malaco, Savoy, Atlanta International Records (Air Gospel), Muscle Shoals Sound Gospel masters. Including hit recordings by James Cleveland, Albertina Walker, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and most recently Bebe & Cece Winans in which Pastor McClurkin made mention to during his presentation.

Malaco’s Executive Director – Gospel Division states, “On behalf of the Malaco Music Group, I would just like to say thank you to BET, Stephen Hill, and John Cossette Productions for recognizing the contribution made by our company. Added thanks for the first class presentation that represented the Gospel music industry in excellence on the biggest stage in Urban Music.”
