Gospel music artist Ami Rushes won a Rhythm of Gospel award for Best Video of the Year for gospel song “Testify”. The announcement was made at the award show Sunday, July 24, 2011.
The song was written by the late Rev. Timothy Wright and the video gives honor to him and features his sons David and Dwayne Wright. It was directed by Stephen Yake.
“This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in my eyes,” said Rushes. “I’m so appreciative and thankful for this wonderful award and I thank everyone so much for voting, and I humbly thank the late Reverend Timothy Wright for writing a song like “Testify”. Big blessings and congratulations to all the other nominees.”
