Child Passenger Safety Week is a time when safety efforts nationally focus on ensuring that all children are secured properly in motor vehicles every trip, every time.

Locally, the highlight of the week is National Seat Check this weekend, where parents and caregivers can make sure their child safety seats are properly installed by getting a free car seat check with a nationally certified child passenger safety technician.

To encourage Greater Cleveland parents to make sure their littlest passengers are riding safely, the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Injury Prevention Center, UH Ahuja Medical Center, State Farm Insurance and Kohl’s have joined forces to host a family-friendly car seat check event where parents and children take part in fun safety activities, earn prizes, and get their pictures taken with Clifford the Big Red Dog and Curious George.

Events are planned for both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days
