A boy found wandering in the Kinsman area on Friday has been identified.

According to the Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services, the boy told social workers his name is Michel Williams. Michel said his birthday is May 27, 1998.

Cleveland officers found him near East 143rd Street on Friday afternoon after an anonymous caller said he was living in an abandoned building.

After the story ran on area news outlets, officials with children and family services identified his family after receiving tips calls. The department said they are now working to reunite the boy with his family.

Michel was placed with a foster family after the department of children and family services obtained custody from the juvenile court system.
