You probably know someone you consider a “hero,” someone in your neighborhood, your family, or with an organization that’s near to you. The Red Cross wants to honor that hero in your life.
Through Sept. 10, the American Red Cross of Greater Cleveland is taking nominations for its Heroes Challenge program. Twenty-five finalists will eventually be selected, and five people will be named “Heroes.”
People who have gone out of their way to serve our community in a variety of ways, but who have not been yet recognized, are all potential nominees, says Mary Gygli, of the Red Cross.
