Two more water mains have busted this morning, which could cause problems for the morning commute.
An eight-inch water main broke on Cleveland’s west side on Ridge Road, near Associate Avenue. Crews are working to repair the water main and have closed two lanes of traffic.
A water main at East 157th and Holmes has also busted, and water crews arrived to the scene around 5:30 a.m. East 157th is a brick road, and water was spewing out a number of spots on the street.
Water crews on East 157th street said they were going to to “reduce the flow,” lowering water pressure in that area but not completely shutting off the water. Crews said they planned to completely shut off the water and repair the break later in the day.
This is the most recent water main to break in the city, as more than a dozen water mains have busted in the past two months in Northeast Ohio.
