Although the hype surrounding “The Avengers” has settled down, the Hollywood spotlight isn’t dimming on Northeast Ohio. The trailer for “Alex Cross,” another movie that filmed in town last summer, has been unleashed (see the trailer below).

Much like the trailer for “The Avengers” did, the preview for “Alex Cross” showcases multiple areas throughout Cleveland — most notably downtown on Ontario at Lakeside, including an explosion outside of City Hall. You can spot this location at the following times throughout the trailer: 1:02, 1:40, 1:44, 1:46, the explosion sequence at 1:53 and finally at 1:57.

Although the film is based in Detroit, the opening of the trailer shows a wide shot of downtown Cleveland, offering a three-second glimpse of the Terminal Tower and Key Tower on the upper-left side of the screen.

While the production was in town, the film was referred to as “I, Alex Cross.” The title has since dropped the “I” and shortened to simply “Alex Cross.”
