Thousands are without power right now as strong storms are pounding northeast Ohio.

First Energy reports more than 4,000 are without power in Lorain County, while more than 7,000 people are powerless in Cuyahoga County.

Trees & power lines are reported down in Bay Village, Sheffield Township, Brookpark, Cleveland & Lakewood.

The storms originated over northern Michigan this morning and then blew across the lake, producing winds of 60 MPH or more.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Northeast Ohio until 1 p.m.
