After disputing untrue online rumors in May claiming Bobbi Kristina walked off the set of his TBS dramedy “For Better or Worse,” Christian entertainment mogul Tyler Perry is getting everyone prepared to see what really took place on set. According to Perry, the creator of the show, Bobbi’s impressive acting display would have made her late mom, Whitney Houston, “so proud.”

While the media has been known to poke and prod in the young teen’s life, circulate vicious rumors and put her personal issues on display, this time, Bobbi Kristina is in the media spotlight on her own terms. She’s showcasing her acting chops and is receiving some pretty high praise from Mr. Perry.

“Whitney would be so proud. Krissi did such a great job. I was blown away by her acting debut! You’ll see…” wrote Perry in an email to his fans, thanking them for their continued support and reminding them to watch the show every Friday night.

Though the grieving daughter, understandably, had some challenging moments while taping so soon after her mother’s passing, she stuck it out until the end. “She was grieving,” Perry said in a statement back in May.  “But grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time.”

The funnyman, best known for his outspoken role as the hilarious grandmother, Madea, knows the pain of losing a mother. Willie Maxine, whom he calls his “best friend,” passed away in December 2009 of diabetes. Out of his grief came “Madea’s Big Happy Family,” a project he found both healing and cathartic.
