Sherri Shepherd is taking “The View” to church. The newlywed co-host of the daytime talkfest created by Barbara Walters will undoubtedly be a large part of today’s Gospel Brunch program which includes The Kings Men – Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin and Israel Houghton and Kirk Franklin – and soul food chef Melba Wilson. Shepherd and TV writer Lamar Sally celebrate their first anniversary next month. She told Jay Leno earlier this year that married life was great and that she was happy her husband is tall.
“I used to like short guys, but short guys are angry all the time. They’re mad.” Sally is 6/6, which Shepherd says she appreciates. “I climb [my husband] like a tree,” she said. On Valentine’s Day this year, Sally surprised Shepherd on “The View” set. Watch the clip below.
