Hearts are heavy with the passing of Shekinah Glory Ministry member Andre Lester Mobley, 46, a founding member of the platinum selling-ensemble. He passed away on August 2nd from blood clot complications. 

The first round ballots for the 28th Annual Stellar Awards have been announced. Voting will be available online until 8/31/12. Voting is only reserved for current SAGMA members.

It looks like the Gospel industry has caught the Reality TV bug. First Mary Mary found success with their show, then Marvin Sapp released a trailer for his upcoming show, Marvin Sapp: Single Dad and now Kim Burrell has released a sneak peek of her upcoming project “Whatever It Takes.” The new reality show stars Kim Burrell, Krishnar Lewis, Karen Smith and Kenneth Jackson. They are team members of the Manhattan-based PR Management firm: Lewis Agency.

Arrow Records announced the signing of legendary singer, songwriter, and actress Ann Nesby to their Atlanta-based label. Over the past 20 years Nesby has built an enviable career and has collaborated with some of the most famous and well-respected names in entertainment, such as the late Reverend James Cleveland, Luther Vandross, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Sting, and Al Green. In the early 1990s, Nesby rose to prominence on the worldwide stage as lead singer of the popular music ensemble Sounds of Blackness.

Look for Shekinah Glory to drop their fourth CD, entitled “Surrender” September 25, 2012.  

Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp and Israel Houghton, known collectively as the “King’s Men”, gave a preview of their upcoming tour by performing a medley on The View. All four men performed one of their chart-topping hits! The King’s Men Tour will hit major venues in 15 U.S. cities beginning on Sunday, September 16th throughout Sunday, October 14th.
