It’s been said that it takes a village to raise a child. Volunteers from Charter One bank created their own village by stuffing backpacks with shiny school supplies that would will be given to children in need.

Through the generosity and kindness of strangers who donated supplies at 60 Charter One Bank branches, we see what’s possible making the start of school a bit brighter for kids in Cleveland and it’s inner suburbs by helping those who need it most.

More than 2,000 elementary kids will receive a fresh backpack when a U Haul truck will deliver the finished products to Euclid, Parma and Cleveland’s YMCA on Thursday.
