Neighbors on a quiet east side Cleveland street are still reeling after a domestic violence shooting left three dead.

Just before 11 p.m. Monday night on Hillview Road, 911 calls began coming in from family members who had witnessed the unthinkable.

Nakisha Jackson, 22, and her six year old daughter Kammia Perry were shot and killed, by a man they knew very well.

“I hear them come home every day. I hear the little girl playing and laughing every day.”

Neighbor Sandra Blaythewood says she could not believe the sounds coming from right next door late last night.

“I heard a gunshot and I heard a lady scream, ‘Oh my God please call the police, my baby bleeding.’ And a male’s voice says, ‘Shut up, stop crying.’ And then I heard the second gunshot… and then about 40-30 seconds later, there was a pause between them, then I heard the third gunshot, but the third gunshot was so loud.”

That third gunshot was the suspect, 24 year old Demar Perry, turning the gun on himself.

“I’m feeling some kind of weird because I’m just thinking when I heard that lady saying, ‘Please, somebody call the police,’ would it have made a difference for that baby’s life, if I had just picked up that telephone, and called somebody but it happened so fast. It happened so fast.”

There were three other people inside the home who were not injured in the shooting
