Art Modell, former owner of the Baltimore Ravens has died. Modell passed away early this morning at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was being treated for heart failure.
Modell bought the Cleveland Browns in 1961 and moved the team to Baltimore in 1996. The team was renamed the Baltimore Ravens, and returned professional football to Charm City after a 13 year absence.
Art Modell was 87 years old. His wife, Patricia, died last year.
