She’s married, official, and saved.
But Meagan Good is still feeling the backlash of her bachelorette party as a burlesque dancer, a dream she always wanted to fulfill.
Christian can be sexy, is her argument, but church folks ain’t buying it. Fortunately, her values and opinions didn’t shake her from doing what she truly desired.
“It is something I wanted to do a lot, and me and DeVon talked about it,” Meagan said. “I almost didn’t do it because I knew there would be backlash, but I can’t let people control my life.”
You go girl.
She explained that at the end of the day, the only one she had to answer to was God. And with that, the actress said she even prayed about it and got her heavenly father’s permission.
“We talk and we speak and I don’t feel convicted about it and so I have to do what’s in my heart and I can’t allow people to manipulate my direction.”
Regardless, she didn’t show anything and was actually covered up well, unlike the other ladies on stage. She was Christian, conservative, yet sexy all at the same time.
“God gave us these body parts-not to go and show everything to everyone-but its okay to be sexy and to be comfortable with your sexuality. And I think there’s kind of a line that gets blurred and I’m very bold about speaking out about it.”
