First lady Michelle Obama has been on The View.
So now both Obamas will appear on the morning talk show together next week while the president is in New York for the opening of the United Nations General Assembly.
The View, hosted by Barbara Walters, announced they will tape the program with First Couple on Monday, for broadcast on Tuesday.
It ties into the president’s talk show strategy, seeking to reach out to different audiences; just this week, Obama appeared on David Letterman’s late night talk show.
One likely topic on The View: Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
One the now-infamous videotape of a fundraiser that surfaced this week, Romney could be heard saying that appearing on The View is “high-risk, because, of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative.”
But that conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, said Wednesday that she has reached out to Romney, and he may soon appear on the show as well.
