1. Cleveland love during debate

While President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romeny squared off on domestic issues, including creating jobs, education and health care, they also put the spotlight on Cleveland. Both candidates made referenced to the Cleveland Clinic.

2. “Cleveland ‘95”

Before the debate Wednesday night, most of Cleveland was lamenting over Bill Belichick’s Browns of the 1990s and the team’s move to Baltimore. Twitter lit up with posts from grown men saying “Time to grab the tissues” during the hour-long NFL Network documentary.

3. Warmer winter

It is too early to have any exact predications, but Power of Five meteorologist Jason Nicholas said to expect above normal temperatures this winter in the Midwest. Snowfall should be near normal around the Great Lakes.

4. First Triple Crown in 45 years

Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera became the first player in 45 years to win baseball’s Triple Crown on Wednesday night, joining an elite list that includes Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams and Lou Gehrig.

5. Willoubghy officer’s death

On Thursday, Willoughby police will release video of the Sept. 21 crash that resulted in the death of Officer Jason Gresko. Gresko was responding to a call on Harmony Lane when his cruiser collided with a truck. The crash is still under investigation.
