It has been reported that Gospel pioneer Kirk Franklin is the richest man in Gospel Music. Kirk Dwayne Franklin has an estimated net worth of $8.5 million.
Kingdom Records has signed Desmond Pringle . He has dropped “Can’t Even Imagine,” the first radio single from his forthcoming Kingdom Records debut CD, “Fidelity.”

This has been an eventful year for Angel and Chanelle, as they recently parted ways with their long time record label, Music World Gospel. “Who knows what will happen in the future, but right now, we’re gonna take this time to focus on our solo careers, says Angel Taylor. Tyler Perry has cancelled all of the “Madea Gets a Job” Fall tour dates because he is simply fed up with evil people. In a letter written and released by Perry, he claims to be tired of bootleggers and scalpers taking advantage of people buying tickets for his shows. There are even people impersonating or falsely representing him on fake FaceBook pages and charging the public for meet and greets after the show. None of which is approved by Perry.

Multiple Grammy award-winning R&B legend, Chaka Khan, currently has a Gospel project in the works, set to be released in 2013. Chaka was featured on Richard Smallwood’s “Precious Is Your Name” and Andrae Crouch’s “All Around The World”.
Michael Winans, Jr., a member of the famous Winans family, has officially been charged by the United States government with wire fraud. According to reports, Winans cheated people out of more than $8 million dollars by using a ponzi scheme. He allegedly got the victims, which is said to be over 1,000 people, to invest in Saudi Arabian oil bonds. However, feds say that his oil bonds and investments were all fake, therefore allowing Winans’ to pocket the money. Winans’ attorney claims that his client intends to pay the victims back all of their money.
The Gospel veteran formerly known as the “Prince of Praise”, Byron Cage, is now the new Minister of Music for The Saint Paul’s Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia. Cage’s main duties as Minister of Music at the church are to oversee the worship ministry and provide leadership for all three campuses. He will still maintain his position as Senior Minister of Worship and Music at Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington, Maryland.
