1. Thousands still without power
More than 115,000 Cuyahoga County FirstEnergy residents were still in the dark Wednesday after superstorm Sandy’s high winds, with more than 9,000 without electricity in Lake County and 4,000 in Lorain County.
2. Red Cross opens warming centers

3. Superstorm claims lives
At least 63 people have been killed in the U.S. by hurricane-turned-superstorm Sandy, which made landfall in New Jersey on Monday.
4. Mark’s winter weather forecast
Power of Five meteorologist Mark Johnson said to expect temperatures below normal this winter, along with slightly below normal snowfall.
5. Early voting
Since early voting started nearly a month ago, about 1.3 million Ohioans have cast their ballots. While no votes will be counted until Nov. 6, states have released the party affiliation of those who voted. In Ohio, 30 percent Democrats and 24 percent Republicans.
