Earlier this year, First Lady Michelle Obama sat down for a chat with Cory “CoCo Brother” Condrey, host of BET’s Lift Every Voice during the second anniversary celebration of Let’s Move!, her nationwide campaign to end childhood obesity. Now, with just 5 days to go before Election Day, Mrs. O is headed back to BET for a one-hour exclusive that was aired last night.

In her previous interview with Condrey, the first lady touched on motherhood, her spiritual life, and of course, physical health.

While speaking about the impact of prayer on her family, she said, “It is the thing that sustains us. I’m always blessed that when we go places, there are people who come up and they just give you hug and a squeeze, and they say they’re praying for us. And I tell ‘em keep it going, don’t stop, because we feel that. There is an unspoken energy that comes from the millions of people who are lifting us up in prayer.”

With a tightening poll numbers, the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy crippling some voters, and a particularly hostile political climate, both Mr. and Mrs. Obama sure could use prayer and lots of support from their strong democratic voter base.

Polls show a virtually tied race between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney nationwide. However, Obama appears to be carrying a narrow lead in key battleground states expected to decide the election, according to Huffington Post.

Knowing the importance of this election, Condrey recently teamed  with Canton Jones for a new nonpartisan song titled “Vote for America.” The lyrics encourage Believers, no matter who they choose to vote for, to get out and make their voice heard.
