Grammy® Award and Tony Award-WinnerHeather Headley is scheduled to perform at The Royal Variety Performance 2012 at Royal Albert Hall in London, England on November 19 with Her Majesty The Queen of England and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh in attendance. Celebrating its 100th year, the show features the best in British talent and entertainers from around the world.

The star-studded lineup includes Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey, Girls Aloud, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Andrea Bocelli, Alicia Keys, comedians Rhod Gilbert and Bill Bailey, casts from Matilda The Musical and The Bodyguard: A New Musical, plus a duet from Plácido Domingo and Katherine Jenkins.

Headley is currently in London for her West End debut in The Bodyguard: A New Musical in which she stars as Rachel Marron, the role originated by Whitney Houston. Headley’s latest CD, Only One In The World, features new songs she penned, R&B hits, familiar favorites and a cut from The Bodyguard: A New MusicalOnly One In The World is released by in:ciite Media, distributed by EMI-CMG/EMI Distribution and available in stores and on iTunes.

About Heather Headley: Born on the Caribbean island of Trinidad and the daughter of a pastor, Headley started singing and playing piano in church at a young age. Since then, her multi-faceted career has been a blessing. Headley won a Tony Award in 2000 for Best Actress In A Musical for her role in Aida and originated the role of Nala in Broadway’s The Lion King. In 2002, her debut album, This Is Who I Am, was nominated for two Grammy® Awards, and in 2010, she won a Grammy® for best contemporary R&B Gospel album.
