The preacher’s wife, Meagan Good, is kicking off 2013 in a big way, with the introduction of her new NBC primetime soap, “Deception.”

The suspenseful television show is headed to your tube starting January 7.

If you like edge-of-your-seat thrillers with plenty of keep-you-guessing plot twists, you might enjoy the serialized murder mystery, Deception.

Starring Meagan Good as Joanna Locasto, she plays a beautiful, yet tough police detective who returns undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in to solve the murder of Vivian Lawson, the notorious heiress who was once her closest friend.

“Joanna is very tough, very ambitious. She’s a little bit sarcastic,” says Good. “She trusts her instincts. She’s a little bit vulnerable too, but you won’t see it very often.”

Laz Alonso also stars as fellow NYPD detective and former flame who recruits Joanna to infiltrate the Lawson home by going undercover and getting back in good with the family.
