You have a long list of things to do: chores, errands, projects, work and more of it! The cycle can seem never-ending and you can easily get caught trying to keep up with life’s frenetic pace. But when’s the last time you really took out time for you, to nourish your soul?

Here are some scriptures to help you do just that. But first, why is it important to apply the word of God?

Because burnout happens quickly when you constantly give out, while never carving out regular moments to pour back into you. And it’s not just physical exertion that’s a problem. Mental and emotional stress can lead to all sorts of problems as well.

But there are scriptures that provide the perfect remedy, while giving you the strength you need.

So EEW Magazine has gathered 7 Bible passages to help you find the rest, renewal, and replenishment for your spiritual and mental health and well-being.

Jeremiah 31:25 “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you;  be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you,  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Matthew 11:29: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!”

Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
