Billboard Magazine announced their Best of 2012: The Year in Music on Dec. 14. Lecraewas named Best Gospel Albums Artists and “Let The Church Say Amen” by AndraéCrouch, featuring Marvin Winans was named Best Gospel Song. The lists are based on chart performance, as well as streaming and social data. Here are the names of those who topped the gospel categories.

Gospel Albums Artist-Lecrea. “Gravity” debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top 100 chart and dominated the #1 spot on Billboard’s Rap, Independent, Gospel and Christian charts for several weeks. His other album, “Rehab” also made the Best of 2012 Gospel Albums list. Lecrae garnered his second career GRAMMY nomination for “Best Gospel Album” with his recent studio project “Gravity.”

Gospel Songs Artist: James Fortune & F.I.Y.A.Fortune’s fourth studio album “Identity” debuted at #7 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart was the #1 album on three additional Billboard Charts: Gospel, Gospel & Christian (combined) and Independent Albums. It includes the songs “He’s Able” and “Hold On.” Fortune has been nominated for two GRAMMY nominations.

Gospel Song-“Let the Church Say Amen”- AndraéCrouch, featuring Marvin Winans. The song has been on the chart for the past 61 weeks and was sung by Pastor Winans during Whitney Houston’s homegoing. The gospel legend also received 2013 GRAMMY nominations.
