The Browns are expected to fire Head Coach Pat Shurmur and General Manager Tom Heckert.

In a postgame press conference following a 24-10 loss to the Steelers, Shurmur had this to say about his job status:

“I’m looking forward to this team next year if that’s the case.  If not, then what I’m going to do is help coach and help inspire a team to win games in some role. I have kids in college, I have mouths to feed – and this is my profession and this is what I choose to do. That’s it. That is how simple it is in my mind.”

The players have a meeting scheduled for Monday morning in Berea at the team’s headquarters.  Afterwards, the locker room is open to the media at 10:30am.

Shurmur is scheduled to address the media at 11:30am in Berea.

In two seasons, Shurmur has an overall record of 9-23 including a mark of 2-10 against divisional opponents.
