Several media outlets are reporting that  Chip Kelly will not be the Cleveland Browns’ new head coach.

Browns executives met with Kelly for several hours in Arizona Saturday night, but returned Sunday without hiring Kelly, the head coach at the University of Oregon.

Sources said it’s likely Kelly will return to Oregon, where he has a 46-7 record with the Ducks.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner previously said they were in no hurry to hire a coach, wanting to find the best person for the job.

Former Cleveland Browns Coach Pat Shurmur was fired last week.
