BET brought the star power to Washington DC and it ignited at Warner Theater last night for the 2013 BET HONORS. This year’s honorees include
Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry; pastor/spiritual teacher Bishop T.D. Jakes; ten-time Grammy award winner Chaka Khan; three time WNBA MVP and four-time Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie; and music executive and entrepreneur Clarence Avant known to many as the “Godfather of Black Music.”
The evening was hosted by actress Gabrielle Union, and also featured soul stirring performances from Alicia Keys, Brandy, Ledisi, Erykah Badu, Wayne Brady, Mint Condition and the SOS Band. Check out the pictures from the evening — after the click:
