When sin is openly committed and celebrated by such high profile celebrities as Kim Kardashian, does it influence American girls negatively?
According to Dr. Jamal H. Bryant, founder and pastor of Empowerment Temple Church in Baltimore, Md., it sends the wrong message.
He issued a statement about the whole situation.
According to Christian Post, Bryant said, “Societies [sic] celebration of the Kardashian pregnancy to Kanye West while still married to someone else says to America’s girls, if you are an entertainer ethics are elastic and Christian convictions are convenient.”
Is he right?
The 32-year-old Kardashian reality star, due to give birth in July, rose to prominence after her personal sex tape was leaked to the public. Today, the television empire and resulting endorsements, have launched her into the global spotlight.
In August 2011, Kardashian and professional basketball player Kris Humphries wed at a private estate in Montecito, California, in front of 440 guests. 72 days later, she filed for divorce Humphries refuses to grant.
