With snow still expected, the city of Cleveland said it will continue to make clearing streets a priority.

A dispatcher for the streets department said Wednesday morning that 60 crews are working overnight into Wednesday, ahead of the morning commute. Overnight, crews are working to clear side streets.

On Tuesday night, the city had 43 crews and two road graders trying to improve conditions in order to move onto residential areas. Within 24 to 36 hours from when the snow stops, the city said they hope to have all roads serviced.

A snow parking ban remains in effect. In a news release, the city of Cleveland said residents should park off-street whenever possible to give snow plows room to work and noted motorists should avoid stopping in the middle of intersections.

These low temperatures can also cause water main breaks, the city said. Residents should report breaks to 216-664-3060.
