An estimated 800 people in need found relief at the Cleveland Public Auditorium Saturday for the 22nd annual Homeless Stand Down event.

The two-day event hosted by HandsOn Northeast Ohio provides veterans, poverty stricken families, and homeless individuals with meals, clothing, personal care, and social service contacts. The event is made possible by members from over 200 agencies providing items and volunteering their time.

Day two for the event will take Operation Stand Down on the road for CareVan Day. Similar services and products will be passed out to various shelters in northeast Ohio on Sunday.
