1. 8.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Near Solomon Islands

An 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the Solomon Islands overnight, followed by several aftershocks and a small tsunami. The village of Santa Cruz reportedly suffered some damage.

2. Explosive Devices Located in Ala. Bunker

Two explosive devices were located inside the underground bunker where a young boy was rescued and his abductor was killed earlier this week. The boy, Ethan, celebrates his 6th birthday today.

3. Lance Armstrong Under Criminal Investigation

Despite a proclamation from a U.S. attorney on Tuesday that the Department of Justice says its standing by its decision not to pursue charges against Lance Armstrong, ABC News has learned that a criminal investigation remains active. The government is investigating the disgraced cyclist for witness tampering, obstruction and intimidation.

4. Sandy Hook Victims to Receive Presidential Medals of Freedom

Presidential medals of freedom will be awarded to the slain Sandy Hook Elementary School principal and four teachers who were killed in the shooting in Dec. 14. The medals will reportedly be presented to family members at the White House this month.
