Country singer Mindy McCready was found dead from a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound at her home in Heber Springs, Ark. on Sunday night, according to multiple sources. The singer’s death comes a little over a month after her boyfriend was found dead.
2. Gas Prices Rising
Gas prices have risen for 31 days straight according to AAA, making for a nearly 13 percent increase in the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline. The average cost over that time period shot to $3.714.
3. Danica Patrick First Woman to Take Pole at Daytona 500
Danica Patrick has become the first woman to secure the top spot in any Sprint Cup race after winning the Daytona 500 pole on Sunday. Patrick covered the 2 1/2 mile speedway in 45.8 seconds, averaging a speed of 196.4 miles per hour.
