Due to dealing with Tourette Syndrome, 15-year-old Justin Bachman has dealt with intolerance and ridicule in his young life.
Bachman decided he didn’t want what happened to him to happen to others.
On Sunday, Justin and his family hosted their 2nd Tolerance Fair at I-X Center in Cleveland.
The goal of the fair was to expose people to the differences in others through education and involvement.
Visitors to the fair had the opportunity to play basketball and soccer in a wheel chair and participate in a number of interactive activities that gave them the chance to experience what it is like to face different challenges.
“People should leave the tolerance fair knowing that there is no such thing as a bad difference in a person,” said Bachman.
Kyle Maynard, quadruple amputee and the first man to crawl on his own to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, was the keynote speaker for Sunday’s Tolerance Fair.
