Community members are crowding into a prayer service in Ohio to remember six teens killed when an SUV flipped over a guardrail and landed upside down in a pond.

The mayor of the northeast Ohio city of Warren told about 200 people who gathered Monday night that he is receiving messages from around the country.

He says there are lessons that can be learned from the tragedy.

The State Highway Patrol says the teens were riding in an allegedly stolen sport utility vehicle that was speeding just before the crash. None were wearing seatbelts.

The patrol says the sport utility vehicle’s owner met with police Monday and filed a theft report, saying it was stolen from an address in the city.

The dead were 14 to 19 years old.
