Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Porsha Stewart, who was reportedly blindsided by her husband, former NFL player Kordell Stewart’s decision to file for divorce less than two years after their nuptials, is turning to her faith in this difficult time.
The 31-year-old Bravo celebrity tweeted her followers, “Thank you for your prayers” and added a link to an inspirational message that says, “Difficult moments, seek God; Quiet moments, worship God; Painful moments, trust God; Every moment; thank God.”
Reps for the reality TV star said, “Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her.”
The message continued, “Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith.”
During this difficult moment, Stewart has also found some comfort in the motivational words of Pastor Joel Osteen.
She tweeted a quote from the Lakewood pastor which says, “Your problems may be big, but our God is much bigger. Your obstacles may be high, but we serve the Most High God.”
