Christian minister Omarosa Manigault is known for her villainess persona on reality TV.

But tonight on OWN, the star portrays a much more sensitive side as she opens up about the horrible loss of her fiancé, Oscar®-nominated actor, Michael Clarke Duncan.

Omarosa met Michael in a Los Angeles Whole Foods store and the romance blossomed from there. Inseparable, the two dated for three years before becoming engaged, and planned to marry this January.

But everything shifted in a snap when Michael passed away unexpectedly in September 2012.

“He went to bed a little earlier than me and later that night, at some point, I could hear him laboring, trying to breathe, and then I didn’t hear anything, and I just jumped up,” she shares in a television exclusive as part of the OWN Network’s “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” series.

“When I realized he wasn’t breathing, I just started doing CPR and trying to get 911 on the line, and I just started praying. I mean, I prayed like I have never prayed before,” she tells OWN, as her voice cracks with emotion.

“We were able to get his heart started again and [get him] breathing again. We got him to the best hospital and he fought,” she says.

Unfortunately, his strong will to live on was not enough to cheat death. “After two months of fighting, he passed away.”

Watch Omarosa’s full “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” interview on Tuesday, April 2, at 10 p.m. ET on OWN.
