Cuyahoga County residents can recycle unwanted computer equipment during April by dropping it off at one of 46 participating city service locations.

Equipment that will be accepted includes: CPU’s, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, terminals, modems, and software.

Cellphones and accessories, and ink printer cartridges will also be accepted, but not TVs or other electronics.

Computer donations are tax-deductible. Businesses with multiple amounts of computers to dispose of should contact RET3 job corp. at (216) 361-9991.

RET3 job corp., where computers will be sent, is a non-profit computer recycling and job training organization in Cleveland.  Workers erase stored data and refurbish or recycle the computers depending on the model and its condition. Newer computers are refurbished and donated to schools.

Since 2003, RET3 job corp. has distributed over 23,000 computers to schools and other non-profit groups in northeastern Ohio.
