(Photo Credit: OWN)Laughter does the heart good, and from the looks of things, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry are gearing up to deliver big laughs to their viewing audience. The OWN Network CEO revealed that The Color Purple’s Sophia has teamed up with Perry’s Madea.
“We had a real LOL good time with this,” she tweeted, attaching a side-by-side photo.
So then, what occasion brings this pair of larger-than-life fictitious characters together?
“Oprah and Tyler Perry are so excited about Tyler’s shows coming to OWN, they just had to get their alter-egos together to celebrate,” said an April 3 message posted on Oprah’s “Life Lift” blog.
The two media titans are prepping fans for a promotional parody airing ahead of the premieres of two of Perry’s upcoming shows set to debut on OWN this year: Love Thy Neighbor and The Haves and Have Nots.
It was first revealed in October 2012 that director, actor, screenwriter, and producer Perry would be partnering with OWN to develop series programming and other projects for the cable channel.
