More job cuts are expected at The Plain Dealer, Cleveland’s largest daily newspaper. The lay-offs are described as part of a “re-design” of operations.

According to a post on the “Save the Plain Dealer’s” Facebook page, workers were given 90 minutes notice Wednesday night to go home and wait for a phone call. They were told an unspecified number of workers in the advertising, marketing and finance departments will be laid-off.

Newschannel5 made calls to the Plain Dealer, but didn’t hear back. The spokesman for the union representing some of the workers at the paper couldn’t confirm any lay-offs.
