A Cuyahoga County boy is doing his part to help his family.
Just call it “Kool-Aid for a Cause” — Michael Diamond of Garfield Heights set up a Kool-Aid stand in his neighborhood on Tuesday June 18. “I am raising money for my grandmother’s funeral,” said Michael.
The 8-year-old boy is trying to raise money to help his family pay for his grandmother’s funeral.
52-year old Bobbie Diamond passed away on Father’s Day after a long battle with cancer.
All the money collected from sales will be used to help offset funeral costs which are $5,000, and Michael said he’s gotten great feedback from neighbors for his efforts.
To pass the long hours Michael says he sometimes daydreams about what he would say to his grandmother if he had the chance. “I would tell her I love her and I hope to see her again.”
