Within hours of a YouTube video of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight being released, donations to the Cleveland Courage Fund increased substantially.
In the video, the women expressed their gratitude to the community. Co-advisor for the Cleveland Courage Fund Chris Kelly said roughly $30,000 was donated in the hours after the video was posted.
“They are incredibly grateful to people in this community,” said Kelly, who has met with the three women.
One-hundred percent of all the money donated to the Cleveland Courage Fund will go to Berry, Berry’s daughter, DeJesus and Knight.
