Lady O’s done it again. She’s gone and got herself another “get.”
We’re talking about the announcement that OWN made on Friday that Oprah Winfrey just landed an exclusive interview with super troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.
Deadline reports that it will tape and air in August, and that OWN has also sealed a deal for an eight-part documentary series starring Lohan set to air in 2014.
The interview with Oprah will be Lohan’s first post-rehab sit-down and comes on the heels of Winfrey’s much-publicized Lance Armstrong interviews in January.
Oprah’s making a point to target high profile celebs such as Whitney Houton’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, for her signature interview show, “Oprah’s Next Chapter.”
The end result is ratings gold. Deadline noted that OWN is coming of its best ratings quarter in the network’s history, and June marked month-to-month gains in key adult and female demos thanks in part to the new Tyler Perry scripted series “The Haves And The Have Nots” and “Love Thy Neighbor.”
