At the top of the year one of Gospel music’s most anticipated events of the year took place, The BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Luncheon. The event honors outstanding gospel music recording artists and individuals who have contributed to the ministry and uplifting the body of Christ — Past honorees include The Clark Sisters, Commissioned, Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams just to name a few. This year, the epic event payed tribute to Edwin Hawkins, Kurt Carr and Lady Tramaine Hawkins, and for the first time the musical tributes will be released on CD!
