With the help of the community and a Kool-Aid stand, an 8-year-old boy who raised money to pay for his grandmother’s funeral now plans to do the same for the East Cleveland female victims found deceased over the weekend.

Michael Diamond, 8, touched our hearts in June when he raised over $5,000 to cover funeral costs for his grandmother, Bobbie, after she lost her battle to cancer on Father’s Day at age 52.

On Monday, Michael and his Kool-Aid stand will be back outside in the 4800 block of Rockwood Road in Garfield Heights starting at 1 p.m. taking donations for the families of the East Cleveland victims to help cover their funeral costs.

“This is part of my foundation to help families in need and I felt it was the right thing to do,”  Michael said.
