Fitness guru Donna Richardson Joyner has assembled the first all African-American female relay team to run in the mother of all relays, 32nd Annual Hood To Coast Relay in Portland, Oregon over Labor Day Weekend.

Joyner’s team, Witness To Fitness (named after a book by the same name she released earlier this year) will race in the overnight, long-distance run that is considered the largest relay race in the world.

“No African American team has ever completed the full 199 mile Hood to Coast Relay. Not only is my team an all African American team, but it’s also an all female team,” Joyner, the author of the book, “Witness To Fitness,” told AlwaysAList.com.
