In an exclusive interview with media partner theJasmineBRAND.com, singer Michelle Williams chats about her upcoming reality show.
The Destiny’s Child singer shared her apprehension about non-script TV, along with the real reason she decided to take the reality TV plunge. Peep a few excerpts below.
theJasmineBRAND.com: We have to ask, why reality TV?
Michelle Williams: “I don’t want it to – of course we have to show conflict for ratings and drama but I don’t want it to turn into a train-wreck. Because at the end of the day, I still have a life and career to have after this and I just want it to be right.”
Michelle Williams: “That is a very good question. Like I said, the thing about the show was that I wanted to let people get to kind of know me a little bit because I know people don’t know. They’re like, “We know Michelle Williams, she has long hair – Oh she’s funny?! Oh! I didn’t even know she’s funny! Oh, cool!” So just to even see them interact with people in my hometown and my family because when I got into the group ‘Destiny’s Child’, it was a moving train.”
