The Horseshoe Casino went all-out this year decorating the inside and outside of the Higbee building for Christmas.
Along Ontario Street, you’ll notice the window displays of the casino have mechanical figurines and all of them have a special Christmas or winter theme. In one, there’s a man fishing in a frozen Lake Erie. Another display shows a man singing Christmas carols with other townspeople joining in the fun.
Years ago, the Higbee department store had these kinds of mechanical displays for customers to enjoy.
“We definitely want to tie in with the history of the Higbee building and the department store and bring the community of Cleveland that has so many memories of the Higbee department store so we’ve really added to the scope,” said designer Cindy Klein.
