The City of Cleveland has its snow removal fleet out on the road battling new snowfall and drifting snow. Overnight 45 crews will continue to work the main streets, plowing in tandem when possible.

At 8 a.m. Friday the plan is to transition crews to residential streets.

A parking ban is in effect on designated city streets, identified by red and white parking ban signs. This allows snow plows to clear streets curb to curb.

Residents are encouraged to stay off the streets as much as possible for their own personal safety and to allow snow plows greater access to the city’s roadways.

For those who must travel, use caution, allow extra time and remember not to “block the box” at intersections.

Residents are urged to take proper precautions to keep themselves safe in the cold weather and while shoveling snow.
